Doctors
say "Amputate"; Woman decides to skip chemo
and try nutrition

A
year and a half ago my sisters son was diagnosed with a terminal
sarcoma tumor in his left arm. She was told to amputate the
arm and admit him to inpatient chemo for one year and follow
up with radiation.
She
started researching and talking to other doctors and found out
lots of information about her choices. She
decided to skip the chemo, definitely to skip the amputation,
and go for the radiation and nutrition and see what happens
first.
Well,
its been almost two years, and no sign of cancer, now you'll
love this. His tumor was sent to Utah for extra research,
and it came back as a class one or two, not a four as she was
told. So all in all not terminal as she was told.
If
she didn't research and think for her self, her son would be
armless and probably dead from the aggressive chemo as two other
of the children we met there.
She's
relieved that he's not terminal this time, and if nothing else
they got a wonderful trip to Hawaii paid for through make a
wish.
